You don't always need the latest and greatest parts to have your gun perform.  Sometimes you just need to give a little boost to what's already there.  For those of us comfortable with the function of a mil-spec safety for an AR platform, but maybe wanting a little bit more out of it, we offer it with NP3 coating.  The coating while having its own benfits against corrosion and requiring inherently less maintenance, also smooths the throw of the lever and gives that positive audible "click" when switching from safe to fire.
