Accuracy with the Glock system is greatly affected by the tightness in lock up. With the springs we use (consistent weight), lock up tightness is increased and that is a good thing.
These guide rods are made from 4140 hardened steel with a Melonite finish. The end result is a very tough recoil guide rod with a black finish, and with corrosion resistance equal to the pistol. To further increase ultimate reliability, these guide rods are designed as uncaptured units for better reliability over captured guide rods. Perfect with any quality spring such as ISMI or Wolff.
This construction and finish also offers a lubricity and smoothness of operation not evident in the OEM spring unit, or aftermarket stainless guide rods.
