Another long awaited release, the Suarez "Spatha" takes its name from the Roman spatha, a longsword version of the gladius which became the standard issue of heavy infantry and eventually an auxiliary of light infantry as it gave front line troops more reach against advancing enemy troops than the gladius short sword.  While the P229 remains relevant across the world as a handgun favorite amongst military and police forces, a well tuned trigger and properly mounted optic bring the platform to the next level, and much like its namesake, affords the user the advantage of additional reach.

Your slide will be milled to accept an RMR or Holosun of matching footprint, with your choice in optic.  After milling, your slide will be sent off for melonite black nitride finish while your frame undergoes cerakote refinish.  Your internals will be polished and your trigger will be tuned to create a smoother, lighter, cleaner breaking action.  you will have an option for Hogue g10 or stippled Sig E2 grips.  Your barrel will have the option to be refinished in melonite or NP3 (TM).
